H.E. Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj AL Mazroui was appointed as the Minister of Energy on March 2013, which was transformed on October 2017 to Ministry of Energy and Industry. His mandate focusses on providing support to sustainable development, address oil, minerals, and water and electricity issues for the benefit of the UAE.
H.E. Al Mazrouei is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federal Electricity and Water Authority (FEWA); Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mubadala Petroleum Co; Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Liquified Gas Co; Member of the Higher Advisory Committee of the Supreme Petroleum Council; Member of the Board of Directors of the Petroleum Development Co; Member of the Board of Directors of the Dolphin Energy Co.
H.E. Al Mazrouei has considerable experience in corporate administration in different sectors, including ship building, defence systems, oil and gas services sector and real estate development.
H.E. Suhail Al Mazrouei holds a B.A. in petroleum engineering from the University of Tulsa in the US in 1996.
