Over the past two decades, Masdar has grown from a bold idea in Abu Dhabi into a global clean energy leader. Under the leadership of CEO Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, the company has undergone rapid growth and transformation, growing to over 50GW of clean energy capacity globally as it targets 100 GW by 2030.
Al Ramahi attributes Masdar’s success to innovation, commercial strength, and strategic partnerships. “Our ambition is the same today as it was two decades ago, to play a pivotal role in the global energy transformation, ensuring energy remains accessible and affordable for all.”
That same spirit drives Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW), which he describes as a platform that “turns high-level ambition into real action.” By uniting government, industry, innovators, and civil society, ADSW accelerates solutions at scale.
He also outlined how the next generation of sustainability leaders are seizing opportunities. “This is the most educated, driven, sustainability-focused generation in history. My message to the next generation is this: never underestimate the power of collaboration and resilience.”
Masdar’s legacy, he emphasizes, will be measured not only in gigawatts, but in empowering communities to build a better future together.
