Innovation is the cornerstone of the utilities sector in transition, but a study by TAQA and Bloomberg cites factors that risk holding the sector back as the global energy system pursues 2030 goals. Insights into the challenges and solutions emerged from a high-level, invitation-only roundtable, organized by Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week in partnership with the Technology Innovation Institute, during the World Utilities Council. On the road to 2030 and a net zero future, leaders across sectors touching the utilities industries discussed new solutions for integrating renewables into the grid, addressing evolving customer demands, and fostering crucial cooperation with the innovation community.
