“Together we can build a better future”, H.E. Zulfiya Suleimenova, Advisor to the President of Kazakhstan, stresses the need for collaboration and community to build a sustainable future.
In our latest edition of ADSW Talks, H.E. Zulfiya Suleimenova, Advisor to the President of Kazakhstan and Special Representative of the President on International Environmental Cooperation, mentioned a Kazakh saying: “If you want to go fast, you go alone; if you want to go far, you go with your friends.” Suleimenova stressed how global platforms like ADSW create an enabling environment where stakeholders and changemakers can discuss, bond, and create a community to ensure a sustainable future for all.
Kazakhstan has committed to becoming carbon neutral by 2060, and Suleimenova highlighted her belief that “climate action can deliver not only environmental and climate gains but also economic development.” Suleimenova spoke of the crucial role that innovation plays in creating a sustainable future and how the “acceleration of climate action can only be possible if we utilize innovations and new technologies to really advance their impact globally.”
She finished by stressing the importance of “accelerating climate action, because we have no time to spare” and how “ADSW will be critical to opening up the new discussions in the next year,” as well as her belief that “together we can build a better future.”
